Submission Instructions
We are currently accepting submissions for the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law (CJTL), our journal print publication. Please see below for more details on each publication.
CJTL Submissions
The CJTL is published three times a year, in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. CJTL welcomes the submission of manuscripts for proposed articles from professors and practitioners on topics related to transnational law, including areas related to public international law, the UN and other international and regional organizations, national security and foreign policy law, private international law/transnational litigation, environmental law and policy, immigration and asylum law, international corporate law and arbitration, human rights, data and technology policy, piracy, admiralty law, etc. Please send in submissions and required materials through the Journal’s Scholastica online submission system.
Submission Requirements:
Submit only one, double spaced copy of your manuscript. We greatly prefer if submissions appear in Microsoft Word format.
Submitted articles should range from 10,000 to 30,000 words in a 12-point font with 1-inch margins.
Citations must conform to the Twenty-First Edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. Footnotes are strongly preferred over endnotes.
In addition to the article manuscript, submissions should include:
a short abstract of no more than 250 words
a CV with a list of recent publications
up-to-date contact information
